Patrice Winkle
Dr. Patrice Winkel is a new author with “My Lifeguard Walks on Water” being her first book. She lives in Cedar Rapids, lowa with her husband John who is a Deacon and an architectural designer. They have four grown children and six grandchildren. She is passionate about animals and showers her four miniature schnauzers and two Siamese cats with love and protection.
Patrice holds a Doctorate degree in Education focusing on Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Northern lowa and she has taught for 43 years in the Harlem School in Rockford, Illinois and the Linn-Mar Schools in Marion and Cedar Rapids, lowa.
Patrice loves music and it is not unusual to find her singing in groups and singing with the Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale, at times with Orchestra lowa.
Interior design is her gift and she busies herself with projects throughout the community and church. She looks forward to writing another book about International Adoption in the near future. It will be co-authored with her adoptive Korean son.
